The First Facebook User Top City is Bangkok

The news agency BAS said, Thailand's capital Bangkok has taken the first place in the use of Facebook. Actually the number of active Facebook users in Bangkok is three million. It is 1.5 percent of the total user in metropolitan area.

The second position is Bangladesh's capital Dhaka among the world's top cities in terms of Facebook usage. Twenty two million people actively use Facebook in Dhaka, which is 1.1 percent of the total user.

Indonesia's capital Jakarta has the third position with 22 million users.

This information was found in an international report titled 'Digital In-2017 Global Overview'. Social media research organization 'We Are Social' and 'Hoot Suite' conduct this survey. The two companies released the survey report by surveying about 239 countries on digital statistics and trends.

According to the survey, Mexican capital of Mexico City is fourth, Brazil's Sao Paulo city is fifth, India's capital New Delhi is sixth, Peru's capital Lima is seventh, Turkey's Istanbul eighth, Egypt's capital Cairo Ninth and Vietnamese city Ho Chi Minh are at the tenth position.

The United States is the first place in the country's category. The number of active Facebook users in the country is 21.9 million. The second place is India, third in Brazil, fourth Indonesia, fifth Mexico, sixth Philippines, seventh Vietnam, eighth Turkey, Ninth Thailand and Tenth United Kingdom.

It is said in the report that the use of social media on mobile is increasing rapidly around the world. This number exceeds 2.5 billion. It is also reported that more than half of the world's population is now using the Internet.
